My Cousin sent me a picture of the Outdoor Bread Oven that is in continuous use for a long time.

She has a stall in the local market in a small City in Portugal, and the old guy that bakes this bread starts early in the morning and shows up with a couple dozen loaves which clear out very fast. He sells a couple dozen for 5 Euros apiece. Everyday

Doesn't seem like much i suppose, but it works out to about $175 CDN or $130 US per day.

or $5250 CDN or $3925 USD/mo. Now for almost $4000 USD i bet somebody would get up early and bake bread in a stone oven if your work day was over at 10am    To each their own..

cheers

Ok, Seriously, I don't need more reminders that I live in Canada.

Today is about 40 cm of snow, bottom half saturated in water and on top of ice and mud. A few trees down across the lane but nothing that stopped me before the iced corner on the highway. Very pretty walk home for the tractor :)IMG_3685sm.JPG.373d89cc14e991356bb00d8acc13b820.JPG

Sausage done on the camp fire after hiking is just so darn tasty. Add a cup of chicken noodle rice and coffee to go with it. Some strawberry vodka later and life is good after a day on the trail.
